Beautiful poems on plants were recited by the students. The importance of the God gifted flora around us was highlighted. They were encouraged to plant more and more saplings in their neighborhood. A special assembly was conducted for the students of classes I and II. The theme for the same was Doctor’s Day. Dr. Rekha Soni graced the occasion. Students spoke confidently about the importance of Doctor’s Day. They also spoke about how a doctor risks his life to save the patients. Dr. Rekha Soni spoke about how to take care of oral health and hygiene. She also made the students aware about the precautions to be taken during the rainy season. Ms. Kuljeet Kaur, the School Nurse showed a first aid box and highlighted its importance. She showed different things like Dettol, thermometer, bandage, medicines and cotton which were there in the first aid box. This was followed by a quiz time.

The students were shown an object and they had to draw the same in the given time. The observation and drawing skills were portrayed excellently by the little ones. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Late Sh. B.D Gulati ji, Hon’ble Founder Chairperson,?Blue Bells Group of Schools, April 21 is celebrated as ‘Green Day’ at Blue Bells Preparatory School. Sir’s vision of a ‘Clean and Green Gurugram’ and his philosophy ‘Create a greener world before it becomes a fantasy to our next generation’ have inspired each one of us at Blue Bells to take all measures and steps to keep our city and surroundings green and clean.
The occasion commenced with a floral offering to the great leader and visionary, followed with a rendition of soulful bhajan by the students of classes I and II.
Students of class II expressed their gratitude and spoke about Sir’s contribution to the society. A short skit ‘Nurture Nature Save the Future’ was presented by the students of class II with a message that we should save our environment from degradation. Students of class I presented a wonderful dance performance depicting the significance of keeping our Earth clean and green. A ‘Green Rally’ by the students of class II was an attempt to sensitize all about the conservation of our green heritage. The staff and students of Blue Bells Preparatory School planted saplings and pledged to fulfill Sir’s dream of a ‘Clean and Green City.’ The Management and Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal urged the students to contribute to a sustainable environment thereby upholding the values that Sir so deeply cherished.
