Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shashtri’s Jayanti was celebrated in Blue Bells Preparatory School with full enthusiasm on 1^st October 2018.

Students of Class II presented a Skit depicting teachings of Gandhiji and his dream of a ‘Swachch Bharat’. It also depicted how the name ‘Bapu’ was given to him. The students pledged to fulfil Gandhiji’s dream of keeping our country clean. Soulful Bhajans echoed in the school with all students singing in unison. The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal urged the students to imbibe the principles and ideals of Gandhiji.

Grandparents are the most grateful treasure, great story tellers and the founders of a loving legacy.

The students of Blue Bells Preparatory School celebrated Grandparents Day on 29.09.2018 and expressed their love, respect and gratitude for them.

The Headmistress Mrs. Anu Sehgal accorded a warm welcome to all the grandparents and expressed that they bestow upon their grandchildren, the love, strength & wisdom that time & experience have given them.

The senior guests, who joined the celebrations in large numbers, enjoyed their time as an audience and witnessed the performances of their grandchildren.

The celebration started with a rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the students followed by a programme which included melodious songs rendered by the students in praise of their grandparents.

The very enthusiastic students staged a dance drama ‘Around the World in Eight Dollars’ taking their grandparents on a voyage abroad. They entertained their grandparents through dances of different parts of the world.

The grandparents also participated actively in a number of games that were organized for them and an opportunity to showcase their talents.

The occasion was a tribute to the divine inspiration of the grandparents whose guidance has made a remarkable contribution in shaping the future of our country.

The Management, Blue Bells Group of Schools and the Headmistress Mrs. Anu Sehgal conveyed their gratitude and respect to all the Grandparents.

An Inter House Board Decoration Competition was organised in Blue Bells Preparatory School for the students of Classes UKG, I and II on 10th September 2018.  A team of eight participants participated from each house.  The students were given the choice of selecting the theme of the board.  The uniqueness of this event was, only the use of coloured chalks to draw the pictures on the board. The creativity and drawing skills of participants were portrayed excellently by the little ones. Each drawing on the board was unique in its own manner as it depicted some social message. First Prize was bagged by Pansy House and Cosmos House and Second Prize was won by Daffodil House and Tulip House.

‘They inspire us, they enlighten us, they open the doors of knowledge and above all they love us unconditionally.

This was a feeling expressed by the little ones of Blue Bells Preparatory School, when they celebrated Teachers Day as a mark of respect and gratitude towards their teachers. The importance of this day was told by Class I students through a talk. They also sung a melodious song to show their love and honour for their teachers. Students enthralled and mesmerized the audience through a dance performance. The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal appreciated their efforts by saying words of encouragement and conveyed to them to be virtuous and respectful to their teachers as a best reward to them.

Divine Celebration at Blue Bells Preparatory

Janmashtmi was celebrated with ardent devotion in Blue Bells Preparatory School on 03.09.18. The celebrations began with prayers offered by the Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal. The childhood pranks of Lord Krishna were depicted through a skit by the students of Class II. A scintillating dance performance by students, donning the roles of Krishna, Radha and Gopis, enthralled the audience. A melodious bhajan was rendered by the students of Class I. The students of Class II enlightened the audience about the life of Lord Krishna and his pranks.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 24.08.18 with great enthusiasm by young Blue Bellians. Students of Class UKG presented a talk about its significance of being celebrated on the full moon day i.e Purnima in the auspicious month of Shravan. They also expressed about the special bond of love and care that a brother and a sister share with each other. Soulful songs by the students of classes LKG & UKG were the highlights of the celebration. The little ones of class Nursery presented a short skit depicting the importance of tying a sacred thread on the wrist of a brother by a sister.

Independence Day was celebrated at Blue Bells Preparatory School with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the hoisting of the Tricolour by Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development & Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools. The students rejoiced in happiness and their hearts were filled with pride as the students expressed their patriotic sentiments, shared by all Indians- love for their motherland. To keep alive the spirit of patriotism, the tiny tots of class Nursery presented an action song. A beautiful rendition of patriotic song by the students of classes UKG, I and II enthralled the audience.

An energetic dance performance ‘Salaam India’ left the audience spellbound. The students of class II displayed a perfect synergy of body, mind and soul through a Yoga performance. The students of the school depicted the true colours of freedom though a captivating drill performance with Hoola Hoops and cultural dances depicting unity in diversity.

On the occasion, Madam Soumya Gulati , Deputy Director, Academic Development & Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools, addressed the students and encouraged them to be responsible citizens of India . She also gave away the prizes and overall Trophy to the proud winners of the Inter School competition of St. Xavier’s High School and Shalom Hills Group of Schools and applauded their efforts in putting up such stunning performances.

Members of Management extended their greetings on the occasion.

Chocolates were distributed to the students, teachers, non teaching staff and support staff of the school.

‘Handwriting is an imprint of the self on the page’

An Inter House Calligraphy competition was organized for the students of classes UKG, I and II on 18.07.18 in Blue Bells Preparatory School.

The competition aimed to inculcate the habit of good formation of letters and develop aesthetic skills in students.

 All the students put in their best efforts to showcase their handwriting styles and the beautiful handwriting of many students was a treat for the eyes.

Pansy & Daffodil House stood First, Second Position was secured by Cosmos and Tulip House.

“Lend a hand to save the land”

Vanmahotsav was celebrated in Blue Bells Preparatory School with great enthusiasm on Friday i.e. 6^th July’18. The day started with the plantation drive in the school premises. The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal and Mrs. Rita Bhandari , Co-ordinator, Pre- Primary Wing  ,  along with the staff and students  planted saplings and trees  of Guava, Banana, Amla, Bougainvaillae, Litchi, Pomegranate ,  Ashoka and Mango  inside the school premises. Students from different classes expressed their concern to preserve ‘Flora and Fauna’ in their own small ways and conveyed the importance of our ‘Green Friends’ in our lives.

The students of Nursery and LKG dressed up in various form of Flora and Fauna and spread the message of harmony and co-existence. The students of Class UKG, dressed in green attire, recited poems on the beauty of God’s creation, the trees and plants. Students of class 1 enacted and expressed the importance of clean and green environment and were also made aware of the adverse effect of cutting down the trees. Class-2 students exhibited a Tableau depicting an amazing scene of Flora and Fauna existing in harmony.

The members of the Management congratulated and applauded their efforts in contributing to spread awareness of a Green and Clean Environment.

The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal motivated the students to plant at least one tree with the help of their parents in the neighborhood.

Different slogans like- “Go Green”, Each one plant one”, Save our planet Earth etc  echoed in Blue Bells Preparatory School.

Everyone at Blue Bells pledged to take care of the green Earth.

Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality

The Investiture ceremony of Blue Bells Preparatory School for the session 2018-19 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special assembly on 4^th July, 2018.

On this great occasion the Headmistress Mrs. Anu Sehgal and Mrs. Rita Bhandari, Co-ordinator, Pre- Primary inducted the newly elected members of the Student Council and honored them with sashes and badges. They congratulated the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captains, House Captains, Vice Captions and Prefects. The ceremony was organized to entrust the duties and responsibilities to the newly appointed members of the Student Council.

The Student Council members pledged to shoulder their responsibilities with sincerity and discipline. The Headmistress encouraged and motivated the students to be committed to their duties and be role models for the other students.
