In an endeavour to acquaint the parents of UKG students, with the latest teaching learning techniques and strategies adopted at Blue Bells Preparatory School, a session ‘Read-O-Phonics’ – a part of the ‘Back to School Series’, was organized on 13.01.2018. The session was organized under the able guidance of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools. The session aimed to provide the parents with the same learning environment that their little one’s experience in school. In this session, a number of interactive & fun filled activities – Hop Scotch, Cross Word, Rhyming Plane and other games were played by the parents to understand the importance of phonic sounds. A skit by the teachers of class UKG explicitly demonstrated the skills which the students acquire through fun filled games. The students of UKG also demonstrated the use of phonic sounds. A ‘Gallery Walk’ was also organized in the school premises wherein parents witnessed the progression of the work done by their wards in the school. At the end of the session parents expressed that it had been a wonderful experience and that teaching and learning phonics was great fun. Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools conveyed her greetings to the parents on the occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Guruparv was celebrated with fervor and devotion by the students and staff of Blue Bells Preparatory School. Students of all the classes Nursery to II, presented a programme on this occasion.

Harmandeep of Class II put a glimpse on the significance of Guruparv, Harnidh of Class UKG recited a poem on Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Tiny tots chanted ‘Mool Mantra’ which was followed by ‘Shabad’. The sound of ‘Satnaam Satnaam Vaheguru’ echoed in the school. The ‘Ardas’ was offered by Ms. Baljinder Kaur. The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal wished everyone on behalf of management and addressed the little ones with certain facts and preachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She also enlightened the students to follow his teachings to be good human beings and give respect to all the religions.

Blue Bells Preparatory School organized a ‘Gallery Walk’ along with an Interactive session on ‘Reading and Writing Readiness’, on 17.11.18 for the parents of class Nursery students. The session -  part of ‘Back to School Series’ is an initiative of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development & Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools. She also heads ‘The Blue Bells Centre for Learning’ which is continuously striving to incorporate latest teaching pedagogies in the school curriculum.

The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal and Ms. Rita Bhandari, Co-ordinator, Pre-Primary Wing, welcomed and addressed the august audience.

The parents were engaged in fun filled activities that enhance the fine motor skills of students, weaving stories which develop vocabulary and the reading strategies that introduce the child to the world of ‘PRINT’. The progression of the work done by students was displayed in the school premises in a ‘Gallery Walk’. This showcased their creativity and development of the transdisciplinary skills and values in them. Parents attended the session in large numbers and were overwhelmed to see the work done by their wards.

The session -  part of  ‘Back to School Series’ is an initiative of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development & Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools. She also heads ‘The Blue Bells Centre for Learning’ which is continuously striving to incorporate latest teaching pedagogies in the school curriculum.

Several interactive & fun filled activities like Ice breaking games, games on sorting, pattern making, bingo and art and craft activities were played by the parents. A skit by the teachers of class LKG explicitly demonstrated the skills which the students acquire through fun filled games.

A ‘Gallery Walk’ on the theme was also organized in the school premises wherein parents witnessed the progression of the work done by their wards in the school and the transdisciplinary approach wherein all the domains of learning are interwoven in the theme.

The Parental corner exhibited the involvement of parents in the learning process of their children.

At the end of the session parents expressed that it had been a wonderful experience and that teaching and learning with children was great fun.

The very smart and brilliant students of Classes UKG, I and II of Blue Bells Preparatory School participated in an Inter House Quiz Competition on 16.11.18. Nine contestants from each house represented for their team and contested with their fellow competitors in an exciting three rounds i.e General, Visual and Rapid-Fire round. The tricky and brainstorming questions on the theme Festivals were answered promptly and confidently by the contestants. The teams put up a tough fight and the quiz concluded with a thrilling tie breaker round between Cosmos and Pansy House for the top position. Cosmos House emerged as the winners, followed by Pansy, Daffodil and Tulip houses securing 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th positions respectively.

The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal witnessed the entire competition and gave her valuable inputs which added to the knowledge of the students. She was all praise for the participants who had put in their best efforts, testifying the fact that there is no dearth of talent at Blue Bells.

‘Childhood is all about having fun and enjoying a carefree life’

Children’s Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in Blue Bells Preparatory School on 14^th November 2018. The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal, the staff and students paid rich tributes to Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. Students of Class UKG spoke about the significance of the day and the contribution of this great personality, fondly remembered as ‘Chacha Nehru’.

The teachers enthralled the students with a spectacular dance medley. The little ones too, joined in the dance, making the day a memorable one for all. Students of Class LKG and UKG rendered a melodious song in praise of ‘Chacha Nehru’.

In her address, The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal encouraged the students to live up to the principles of Jawaharlal Nehru and contribute in realizing his dream of a developed, progressive India. The students were overjoyed on receiving chocolates from school.

The Head Boy and Head Girl proposed the vote of thanks and expressed their gratitude to the Headmistress and teachers for putting up such a wonderful program.

The school wore a festive and colourful look on the occasion of Diwali celebration on 5-11-18.  Dressed in colourful attires, the very enthusiastic students performed Lakshmi Puja along with the Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal and staff of the school. The students of Class II anchored the program and invited their fellow mates to present a skit, a dance and a melodious group song. Through their stunning performances, Class I students conveyed the importance of Green Diwali. The celebrations ended on the joyous note when the Headmistress, on behalf of the Management, wished all a very Happy, Joyous and Safe Diwali.

The festival of lights was adorned with the colours of Rangoli inBlue Bells Preparatory School when an Inter House Rangoli Competition was held on 5^th November’18. The students of classes UKG, I and II,from each house participated in the competition and made beautiful Rangoli’s using different decorative material. They were judged on the choice of design, creativity, material used and overall presentation.Ms. Anu Sehgal applauded the efforts of the students and announced the result of the event. Tulip House stood First, Pansy and Daffodil House stood Second and Third Prize was given to Cosmos House.

Heartiest Congratulations to all the participants and winners!

Dussehra was celebrated in Blue Bells Preparatory School on 17^th October’18 with full enthusiasm. The significance of the festival was explained by the student of class I. They also presented a melodious rendition wherein they conveyed the message of ‘Victory of good over evil’. The mood was set alive by a rhythmic Garba dance by the students of class I.

On behalf of the Management, the Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal, extended her greetings and good wishes to all. Ms. Rita Bhandari, Co-ordinator, Pre-primary Wing also wished the students a very Happy Navratri and Dussehra.

An Inter House Bhajan Competition was organised in Blue Bells Preparatory School on 10.10.18. Students of all four houses from classes UKG, I and II presented devotional bhajans in praise of God Almighty. Soulful bhajans echoed in the school. The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal appreciated the efforts of little ones. Tulip House stood First, Pansy Second, Cosmos and Daffodil House tied for the Third position
