Guruparv was celebrated with fervor and devotion by the students and staff of Blue Bells Preparatory School. Students of all the classes Nursery to II, presented a programme on this occasion. Harmandeep of Class II put a glimpse on the significance of Guruparv, Harnidh of Class UKG recited a poem on Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Tiny tots chanted ‘Mool Mantra’ which was followed by ‘Shabad’. The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal and Ms. Rita Bhandari, Co-ordinator, Pre-Primary Wing, welcomed and addressed the august audience.
The parents were engaged in fun filled activities that enhance the fine motor skills of students, weaving stories which develop vocabulary and the reading strategies that introduce the child to the world of ‘PRINT’. The progression of the work done by students was displayed in the school premises in a ‘Gallery Walk’. This showcased their creativity and development of the transdisciplinary skills and values in them. Parents attended the session in large numbers and were overwhelmed to see the work done by their wards.

The session - part of ‘Back to School Series’ is an initiative of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development & Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools. She also heads ‘The Blue Bells Centre for Learning’ which is continuously striving to incorporate latest teaching pedagogies in the school curriculum.
The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal and Ms. Rita Bhandari, Co-ordinator, Pre-Primary Wing, welcomed and addressed the august audience.
The session aimed to provide the parents with the same learning environment that their little ones experience in school. Several interactive & fun filled activities like Ice breaking games, games on sorting, pattern making, bingo and art and craft activities were played by the parents. A skit by the teachers of class LKG explicitly demonstrated the skills which the students acquire through fun filled games.
A ‘Gallery Walk’ on the theme was also organized in the school premises wherein parents witnessed the progression of the work done by their wards in the school and the transdisciplinary approach wherein all the domains of learning are interwoven in the theme.
The Parental corner exhibited the involvement of parents in the learning process of their children.
At the end of the session parents expressed that it had been a wonderful experience and that teaching and learning with children was great fun.

Nine contestants from each house represented for their team and contested with their fellow competitors in an exciting three rounds i.e General, Visual and Rapid-Fire round. Nine contestants from each house represented for their team and contested with their fellow competitors in an exciting three rounds i.e General, Visual and Rapid-Fire round. The tricky and brainstorming questions on the theme Festivals were answered promptly and confidently by the contestants. The teams put up a tough fight and the quiz concluded with a thrilling tie breaker round between Cosmos and Pansy House for the top position. Cosmos House emerged as the winners, followed by Pansy, Daffodil and Tulip houses securing 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
The Headmistress, Ms. Anu Sehgal witnessed the entire competition and gave her valuable inputs which added to the knowledge of the students. She was all praise for the participants who had put in their best efforts, testifying the fact that there is no dearth of talent at Blue Bells.

The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal, the staff and students paid rich tributes to Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. Students of Class UKG spoke about the significance of the day and the contribution of this great personality, fondly remembered as ‘Chacha Nehru’.
The teachers enthralled the students with a spectacular dance medley. The little ones too, joined in the dance, making the day a memorable one for all. Students of Class LKG and UKG rendered a melodious song in praise of ‘Chacha Nehru’.
In her address, The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal encouraged the students to live up to the principles of Jawaharlal Nehru and contribute in realizing his dream of a developed, progressive India. The students were overjoyed on receiving chocolates from school.
